When do iPhones actually get cheaper?

The short answerA few weeks after each September launch — but it's the outgoing model that drops, not the new one. That window is the most reliable saving in Apple's entire year.

New iPhones arrive each September. The launch model rarely discounts before Black Friday. The previous generation, however, falls within weeks — near-identical hardware, meaningfully smaller totals.

Photos and video swell every year, and the step up in storage usually outlasts the phone. It is the one upgrade worth paying for at purchase rather than regretting later.
Trade-in

Apple's own programme is convenient; an independent recycler is often better. Get both numbers before you decide, and wipe the device before posting it.
Travel
eSIM-only models
